What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 7 days notice for all cancellations. This allows us to manage our schedule and offer the spot to other guests. If you need to make changes to your booking, just get in touch and we will do our best to work something out.
What do I need to provide?
The only thing you need to provide is water. Everything else, from firewood and kindling to the bucket and ladle, comes with the sauna. We take care of the rest so you can focus on enjoying the sauna experience.
What are the space requirements for delivery?
The sauna is 8 feet wide by 14 feet long and requires at least 11 feet of vertical clearance. If we need to pass through a gate, the opening must be at least 9 feet wide.
Do rentals include a cold plunge tank?
Yes, a cold plunge tank is included with all rentals from April through October. Since the tank arrives empty, you will need a garden hose or water source ready to fill it once we have it positioned. If you want to turn it into a full ice bath, stocking up on a few bags of ice is a great idea. During the colder months the plunge tank is not available, but honestly, a roll in the snow does the job just fine.
Is firewood included?
Yes, firewood is included. When you rent a mobile sauna, we load the wood box with firewood before every rental which should be enough for two nights depending on your use. You may have to provide some of your own firewood if you exhaust the supply we provided.
Can I throw water on the rocks/stove?
Yes, throwing water on the hot rock creates steam, or löyly in Finnish. Loyly is the soul of the sauna and you should throw lots of water on the hot rocks when you rent a mobile sauna.
What is the optimal sauna temperature?
Most of our regulars find that 180 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit is the sweet spot for a deep, detoxifying session. That said, if you prefer a gentler 160 degrees or want to push it closer to 210, the choice is yours. The sauna runs on a wood fired stove and real löyly, so you are in control of the heat.
How do I book a mobile sauna?
You can rent a mobile sauna online or via call/text to confirm dates and rates. A deposit is required to lock in your reservation, after which you’ll receive a confirmation email.
How long does it take to heat up?
It typically takes 45 to 90 minutes to reach optimal heat.
What if I run out of wood?
The provided wood is usually enough for a couple of days. If you need more, you must use seasoned firewood no longer than 14 inches and no more than 5 inches in diameter.
