Frequently Asked Questions

Is firewood included?

Yes, firewood is included.  When you rent a mobile sauna, we load the wood box with firewood before every rental which should be enough for two nights depending on your use.  You may have to provide some of your own firewood if you exhaust the supply we provided.

Can I throw water on the rocks/stove?

Yes, throwing water on the hot rock creates steam, or löyly in Finnish.  Loyly is the soul of the sauna and you should throw lots of water on the hot rocks when you rent a mobile sauna.

What is the optimal sauna temperature?

This is a very personal question, everybody has their own tastes.  I'd start at about 180 degrees and adjust from there.

How do I book a mobile sauna?

You can rent a mobile sauna online or via call/text to confirm dates and rates. A deposit is required to lock in your reservation, after which you'll receive a confirmation email.

How long does it take to heat up?

It typically takes 45 to 90 minutes to reach optimal heat.

What if I run out of wood?

The provided wood is usually enough for a couple of days. If you need more, you must use seasoned firewood no longer than 14 inches and no more than 5 inches in diameter.
